My Furry Friends,
As you may know, things can get a little busy at your house when your family is preparing to welcome a tiny new human into the world! (Be on the lookout for my upcoming column about preparing to meet the newest, smallest member of your household.) Around here, the treat jar was looking frighteningly empty, and then my Dad found a cool new website that seems to answer all of our problems about being “too busy to go to the dog store” or “we’ve got another one of those silly baby classes to go to and we can’t go pick up dog cookies Leo, sorry.” Mr. Chewy is now my new favorite site (besides my Facebook page).
Mr. Chewy is “an average dog with big dreams” about making it easier for dogs all over the country to get what they need quickly and easily! His site puts all the best stuff at your paws: the best brands of healthy, organic food, like Natural Balance (I’ve been eating it almost my entire life and I think it is at least in part to credit for my youthful beauty and shiny coat), Newman’s Own, and Castor & Pollux. It has my favorite treats in the whole world too – doggie “oreo” kind of cookies (carob with peanut butter filling) from Three Dog Bakery. They also sell flea and tick meds, vitamins, and other essentials, so you can stock up all at once.
My Mom ordered me a package a few weeks ago...She got free shipping over $49 (they always run this deal, plus coupons periodically as well) and stocked up on some essentials: “Greenies” to keep my choppers white (this is Los Angeles, after all); organic heart shaped “Smoochees” cookies; and the MOST AMAZING BONE I HAVE EVER HAD – “Merrick the Tank.” I’m not sure what this thing is made of, but it is all-natural, it is huge, it is meaty, and it is incredible. I highly recommend it.
Oh, and in case any of you are unfortunate enough to live with a feline housemate, Mr. Chewy sells stuff for cats too. I don’t support buying gifts for cats because I don’t think they would ever buy a gift for anyone but themselves, but hey, that’s just my opinion.
Back to sniffing around the baby’s room! Hasta pronto everyone...
Leo
